I am interesting in taking part in any internship opportunities you may have regarding music therapy. I graduated with a degree in psychology and piano performance from Occidental College and just finished my first year of master’s study in classical piano in Manhattan school of music. While I have been a dedicated musician my entire life, I am also deeply passionate about advocating for social justice and mental health issues, therefore I aspire to become a music therapist one day. I believe music can uplift a person’s soul during their most departing moment and am disappointed that not every person in the society has the privilege to be taken care of by music.; therefore I also believe we should work on making music therapy more accessible to those who will benefit from it. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need any further information. I also speak Chinese fluently.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
    Sincerely,
    Irene
