Hannah has had a desire to become a music therapist since she was 11 years old. As the daughter of two special education teachers, she knew she wanted to follow in their footsteps by creating a safe space for others to be themselves. After watching a news segment about how music therapy can assist patients in healing from brain injuries, she was hooked.

Hannah attended Colorado State University where she studied music therapy from a neurological approach (NMT). Although Hannah worked in rehabilitation settings in college, she fell in love with creatively collaborating with the autistic community after moving to San Diego. She has partnered with individuals in the Spellers community and adults with developmental disabilities to support them in producing their original work. She loves to create a fun environment and provide a space for others to be authentically themselves. Hannah believes that building strong connections and relationships with her clients is most important.

In her free time, Hannah likes to pursue her own passions for music. She has a background in jazz piano, is involved in the San Diego jazz community, and hosts a bi-weekly jam. She is the pianist in a hot club swing band that plays around town and hosts home concerts. She loves to build community through shared creative experiences.

“I celebrate who you are and the unique ways in which you create. Together, we’ll harness your connection to music to deepen your connection with yourself.”
