Amelia grew up on Long Island, New York and is completing her Bachelors of Science in music therapy as an intern at The Music Therapy Center of California. She completed her undergraduate program at the State University of New York at Fredonia, in Fredonia, New York. There she gained clinical experience through her practicum, working with older adults with dementia, adults with disabilities, and children with autism.
Amelia has been a classically trained vocalist since the age of 10, and continued her music journey at The Fredonia School of Music. She has always loved to sing and play the piano and guitar, but also knew that her end goal was to help those around her. This is when her college advisor introduced her to music therapy. Since then, she knew this was where she belonged. She is grateful to be finishing her degree at MTCCA, and looks forward to diving deeper into her career as a music therapist.
In her free time, Amelia enjoys spending time with her dog, Indi, and practicing her favorite types of music. You will most likely find her singing songs by Fleetwood Mac and Greta Van Fleet, as those are her favorite artists. She also enjoys spending time with friends and watching “Grey’s Anatomy”!
“Music therapy has allowed me to blend together my two passions, music and helping those around me. It is such a pleasure to watch people grow, as music has been an outlet for me throughout my life. I am lucky to be able to share the power that music holds to help people achieve their goals.”
